At The LEAP Clinic, it is our mission to help guide children and families in their journey to better understand their own strengths and challenges and to support them as they work to reach their potential. Danielle Epler, PsyD

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

For the past 10 years, Dr. Epler has been dedicated to working with children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Dr. Epler works from a strengths-based approach to help children regulate their emotions and more effectively communicate with others. She also works to support parents as they navigate challenging behaviors at home and build stronger relationships with their children. Dr. Epler also has a passion for providing in psychological or behavioral evaluations for children and adolescents to diagnose developmental delays, autism, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental differences. She views evaluations as important tools to help parents understand their children and develop plans to support them in the immediate future, as well as they navigate childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.

Emilie Flynn, MA, LPC, R-DMT

Licensed Professional Counselor

Emilie holds a Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University. She brings a wealth of experience in the mental health field, having served in community mental health programs, outpatient settings, and a specialized school for children with autism. With a dedicated focus on helping children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and anxiety, Emilie is passionate about supporting clients and their families. She specializes in play therapy and dance/movement therapy as a certified AutPlay Provider and a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist. Emilie tailors her interventions to address sensory, emotional, communicative, and behavioral challenges with individualized care. Emilie’s therapeutic approach is characterized by an unconditional positive regard for her clients, strength-based interventions and a systemic perspective.

Jolie Smith, BA

Doctoral Level Extern

Jolie is a warm and supportive therapist who is passionate about working with children and teenagers to help them improve self-esteem and address social conflicts with peers. With a background as a counselor supporting neurodivergent adolescents with social anxiety, autism, and ADHD, Jolie tailors her interventions to focus on social engagement, emotion regulation, effective communication, and behavioral modification. Her therapeutic approach integrates interventions from both cognitive-behavioral and systemic perspectives. Jolie is currently completing her clinical practicum hours for her Doctorate in Psychology at Chestnut Hill College and holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Syracuse University.She is being directly supervised by Dr. Epler.
